How long will they go unpunished? – 1 Peter 4:5

“but they will give account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.”

A recent news article tells the saga of a man who has avoided eviction for over 20 years.

Another man smashes the windows of four synagogues only hours after one judge who tried to keep him locked up is overridden and freed by another judge.

In the same time period, President Biden appoints Governor Cuomo to lead the Covid-19 Governor’s conference call, in spite of allegations of sexual abuse and excessive nursing home deaths.

How long will everyone go unpunished?

Paul addresses this in Galatians 6:7 “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.”

As 1 Peter warns, he “is ready to judge the living and the dead.”

During troubling times such as this, here’s a consolation “let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary” Galatians 6:9.
