Is the gospel offensive? – Mark 6:3

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

“…and they were taking offense at Him.”

One of the commonalities in witnesses, especially to Jews, is that they are “offended” with the truth of the gospel.

How sad.

Yet some are so blinded by their false religion and they are so proud that any effort to confront them in the truth is actually offensive.

It should be. The gospel is offensive. It commands us to repent, which is in itself difficult. And, it leads us to believe in something to which we cannot see. The saving grace of Jesus Christ.

Lord, I pray for the power of your word for salvation.
