Understanding current events

To understand current events, you need to look from two perspectives.

A worldly view and a spiritual viewpoint.

The worldly view

Karl Marx developed political and economic ideas which have merged into a concept known as socialism.

Socialism is a theology which sees mankind and society as a story of class struggles, in which the oppressed fight against their oppressors.

It also idealizes an end result whereby “from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs“.

That is once the oppressed get control over the oppressors.

This, of course, doesn’t work. Nor has it ever worked, but mankind continues to fall for this lie.

Why?

Because it sounds appealing to mankind.

Everyone benefits from the labor of the wealthiest. But too soon, the funds from the wealthiest run out.

My daughter once asked me about socialism. I explained it this way.

Assume you work hard and get an “A” on your class report.

Another student, does nothing for their class report and should get an “F”.

Socialism is where the teacher gives both of you a “C” .

Of course, she questioned, “then why try?” – to which I responded, “and that is the problem with socialism.”

Oppressed and Oppressors

But outside of the fallacy of shared wealth, is the genesis concept of oppressed and oppressors.

And that is the real story of where socialism arises.

Most socialists have concluded that Judeo Christian white European culture and their descendants, which are the founders of America and their descendants are the oppressors.

And generally, people of color, which include most of Mexico, Central, and South America as well as the Muslim nations from Asia and Africa are the oppressed.

This condition is then elevated to, nothing the oppressors do can be right and nothing the oppressed do can be wrong.

Notice, this is class groupings vs. individuals.

Take for example the recent death of Mollie Tibbetts in August of 2018. Clearly, Mollie was from the oppressor group but the media followed her disappearance story up and until it turned out that an illegal alien, or someone from the oppressed group, was determined to be her killer. Media coverage then ceased on Millie Tibbetts and one from the media referred to her as “that girl from Iowa” and went on the bemoan the plight of the oppressed group.

This is not an anomaly.

It is common knowledge that the Department of Homeland Security classifies Antifa as domestic terrorists.

Yet, the top Google result, from Wikipedia, defines them as a

“left-wing autonomous, self-styled militant group in the United States who used direct action, harassing those whom they identify as fascists, racists or right-wing extremists“.

What could be wrong with “harassing” fascists, racists, and extremists?

They identify with the oppressed and are simply fighting the oppressors.

And oppressors are not only all Judeo/Christian whites but all associated organizations such as the military, ICE, and the police.

This oppressed/oppressor concept carries throughout the events in the United States as well as the world.

For example, there is no media concern over the black rulers of South Africa who have determined it morally just to take the property of South Africa’s white farmers.

To be sure there has been a history of white oppressors oppressing black oppressed.

But, do two wrongs make it now right? Apparently.

Why?

Oppressed and Oppressors. One can do no wrong, the other can do no good.

So, what are these Judeo-Christian values?

Judeo-Christian values are those that are:

  • eternal and absolute vs. changeable and relativistic,
  • universal vs. group specific, and
  • predicated on a God of morality.

Of course, socialism’s concern with the oppressed vs oppressors. are relative values, and apply to group identities (the oppressed and oppressors).

How are they relative and group specific?

You’re a racist and so need to be opposed, not because you really are a racist, but because you belong to the oppressor’s group and because I’m calling you a racist.

That is relative.

Racism is relative to an association with a specific group, the oppressors. Which further earns it’s identity because I’m calling you an oppressor.

The position of religion

And what was Karl Marx’s position on religion, or a predicate of a God of morality?

He stated that religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people. The abolition of religion as the illusory happiness of the people is the demand for their real happiness.

In other words, religion was what the oppressors used to give the oppressed a false sense of hope.

To put all this in perspective

Much of liberalism, which is leaning socialism, believe in a class warfare between oppressors, who are white, Judeo Christians and their organizations, which can do no good, as opposed to the oppressed which are typically people of color who can do no wrong.

Everything is slanted to prove this position true.

That is why globalism is so popular and nationism so unpopular, or of course, racist, bigoted and extreme.

But there is also a spiritual perspective

First, we must start with the condition of mankind.

Is he innately good, as a young American couple tried to prove recently by bicycling in a territory occupied by ISIS, or is he innately evil as the bible states?

Unfortunately, the young couple was stabbed to death by ISIS. So much for the goodness of mankind.

The bible states that man is evil by nature and by birth.

Rom 3:23 states:

“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”

Man is a sinner by nature and sinners not only sin but glory in the sin of others. Romans 1:28 brings this out:

“…they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.”

And Mark 7:21-23 describes the heart of men:

“For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, deeds of coveting andwickedness, as well as deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride andfoolishness. All these evil things proceed from within and defile the man.”

Finally, even the old testament testify to man’s sinful nature.

Psalm 143:2 “And do not enter into judgment with Your servant, For in Your sight no man living is righteous.”

Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is more deceitful than all else. And is desperately sick; Who can understand it?”

So, is one group right and the other wrong?

The conservatives vs. the liberals?

The oppressors vs. the oppressed?

In reality, God looks at men as believers and non-believers.

Believers are imperfect but pleasing to God because Christ has paid the price for their sins. Non-believers are also imperfect but not pleasing to God and are destined to pay the price for their own sin.

Christ is trying to save the lost and that is why he came into the world. John 3:18-21 explains this:

He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.  But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.”

But what is going on is a much bigger spiritual battle. Ephesians 6:12 states:

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

We may think in terms of oppressed vs. the oppressors and conservatives vs. liberals, but there is a much bigger picture.

There is a spiritual battle going on and much of mankind is, what various parties have entitled, “useful idiots”.

No offense, but we know not what is really going on and yet many fight with a fervor as social warriors that would give honor to any ruler.

And ruler it is

The ruler of this world, none other than Satan himself.

There is a spiritual struggle to invoke globalism, to enable the end times acceptance of the Antichrist and the False Prophet.

There is also a battle to destroy God’s creation and all that he has designed. Rulers and countries, marriage, the church, the earth and rule over his creation.

These are the institutions which are under attack.

Socialism breaks down societies that engender nationalism and ushers in globalism.

In fact, globalism is one of the principal goals of Satan to bring about the end time rule of the world.

Of course, he loses.

But that’s another story.
